CompuStyle Client Checklist

Please submit the following items to CompuStyle so that we can begin your
 project. Content should be delivered in electronic format whenever possible.
Suitable formats for Copy are Microsoft Word or email; for images you will need
 to provide jpg or gif files or an actual image, clipping, etc. for scanning. If any
of  the material is copyrighted, permission must be obtained in writing forit
 to be reproduced on your website.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
URL

What is the domain name you would like us to register to use for your website address. Your first choice may not always be available so it is helpful to provide two alternative suggestions.

Contact

Who is the main contact person (and their title) that we will be working with during the course of the development of your website. How and when may we contact them.

Time Frame

To be certain all parties hold realistic expectations, we would like know from you what general timeline you have for the completion of your website. We will do our best to work within this and will also communicate to you an estimate of the time that will be required to produce a finished product.

Please tell us up to four email account aliases that you would like to use. Example - myalias@mywebsite.com.

DESIGN PREFERENCES:
It is important that we understand the how you view your enterprise and the
 image you would like to convey to your website visiters as we develop your website. The Building Your Website Worksheet will help you to consider much of the
information we will need from you. You will find more worksheets on our website.
 

STYLE & THEME

Describe the "flavor" would you like your website to have and what type of atmosphere you would like to provide for your audience. Your descriptive words will help us define the style to incorporate into your graphic design and site layout. Is your audience casual, professional, high tech, fun, family friendly? What color theme would you like to dominate your site and/or certain parts of your site? If your corporate logo is being used, are you planning to model your site after that?
Ideas & Format

What websites have you seen that have the look and feel that embody the characteristics you have described above? Reference the URLs of two or three that will give us an idea of what type of site you find attractive and functional.
Descriptives

What are some key words and phrases that may be used when someone searches for you, your products & services on the internet. In a sentence, write a brief description of your website that you would want someone to see when they find your website in a search engine or directory.

WEBSITE CONTENT:
Please provide 1 -3 paragraphs of copy and any imagery to be considered for the following subjects that may apply to your website. In determining the amount of pages you will need for your website you may find our Visual Planner a valuable resource. CompuStyle will gladly assist you with any of these steps and in determining which pages are most necessary for your website.


Home Page

Your full company name and a summary of goods and services offered. Your name and position if this is to be featured on the home page.
Contact & Locations

The addresses, phone numbers, and email contact information for all locations of your enterprise. Along with this you will need to provide appropriate contact persons and times of availability if needed. You may wish to support this information with individual photos.

About Us

A brief history of your company, it's people, any any acknowledgements. A group photo of employees is a nice touch, or photo of the founder, CEO, and/or other featured administrators.
Services & Products

A summary of what you do, how you do it, and what makes you stand out from your competitors. For individual product pages you will need to provide product images, descriptions, and prices. We will also need to know your desired payment method.
Custom Pages

A title for whatever content your would like to add along with the support copy and imagery. Potential topics may include FAQs, product highlight, customer support, tribute page, articles/newsletter, testimonial page, family, links, photo pages, celebrations, etc.
