PLANNING YOUR WEBSITE
Developing a
website requires much planning and
attention
to detail. The process begins by diagraming a "site map".
This helps organize the flow and function of your website.
Below is a
sample diagram of a 12 page site. We start with
a "Home" page" or
"Welcome" page and go from there. The
home page will direct the viewer
to several main categories
that each have subpages that provide further
information.
We will need to
know what main areas you would like to
incorporate into
your website and what type of information
supports each area. For
instance: "About Us" - might tell
the consumer that you offer
"Educational Products"; then
you will have the "Product Pages" followed
by a " " page and/or
an "Order Form". Another example might be "About
Me"
- highlighting some of your interests. Your subtopics
could include
"Photos", "Poetry", "Web Journal", etc.
As your professional web developer, we will diagram this for
you with
the input you give us. This will help determine the
number of pages you
need on your site in conjunction with
your budget. We offer several
affordable package plans
that can be modified to create your custom
website. We will
take into consideration the special features that you
would
like to include and the images that we will be displaying
on your
website. There is much to consider, but no
need to be overwhelmed.
CompuStyle is here to help you
with every step along the way.
